You depart from an airport, have to clear the surrounding mountains, and then land in the valley with only one real chance. The instruments provide all the key information, but as the difficulty rises, the mountains become higher, runways shorter, and extra challenges such as fire, crosswinds, or more demanding landings are added. That mix of precision, pressure, and steadily increasing challenge gives the game its appealing training feel.
