Naoki Kazumi ist ein Junge, dessen Eltern vor fünf Jahren bei einem Unfall ums Leben kamen.
Da er nirgendwo hingehen konnte, lebte er bei seiner Cousine Matsuri Shibugaki und ihren Eltern. Jeden Morgen vor der Schule wird er von seinem Freund aus Kindertagen, Honami Fujieda, geweckt, der ihm immer wieder sagt, dass er kein Kind mehr ist, ihn aber trotzdem weckt. Diese gewöhnlichen, gewöhnlichen Tage scheinen ewig zu dauern, bis eines Tages auf dem Dach der Schule, während Naoki ein friedliches Nickerchen macht, aus dem Nichts ein Mädchen vom Himmel fällt. These usual, ordinary days seem to stretch on forever, until one day up on the school's rooftop, while Naoki is taking a peaceful nap, out of nowhere, a girl falls out of the sky. This girl, called Mikoto Amagasaki, comes from 100 years in the future, and she went back in time with the intention of finding her brother. When Mikoto sees Naoki, she mistakes him for her brother.
