Anglais Ooops Up was meant to be a visually impressive Pang-clone where you shoot bubbles that split into smaller ones until the screen is cleared. While the Amiga version was completed, the C64 version hit its limits – sprite restrictions made development difficult. Digital Excess eventually convinced Demonware to cancel the project. What remains is an impressive intro with digitized sounds and an early, barely playable demo with nice graphics. The final version surfaced years later as a crack release – more than magazines ever got to see. A pity, since with some more work it could have been possible. Ooops Up thus remains a fascinating glimpse into an unfinished C64 project.
