Synopsis
Synopsis
Languages Information Proposed by
Anglais The gameplay is based on a turn-based system. The player can choose to play as a Daimyo (feudal lord) or a simple officer, an advanced feature for the time. If they choose an officer, their actions are limited (often to espionage) in service to their lord.

The game progresses through phases of events, strategy, and troop movement. The map represents all of Japan, and numerous units controlled by an aggressive AI clash simultaneously. The starting scenarios include 1550 and 1582 (after Honnōji).

The game is renowned for its separate map combat system and its elaborate opening sequence.
