An Land, zu Wasser und in der Luft wirst du dein ganzes Geschick brauchen, um die vier Königreiche von Sarasaland zu durchqueren. Denn nur so kannst du den hinterhältigen Tatanga besiegen und Daisy retten.

Anglais Once upon a time, there was a peaceful world called Sarasaland. In this world there were 4 kingdoms named Birabuto, Muda, Easton and Chai. One day, the skies of Sarasaland were suddenly covered by a huge black cloud. From a crack in this cloud, the unknown space monster Tatanga emerged to try to conquer Sarasaland. Tatanga hypnotized the people of all the kingdoms so that he could control them in any way he liked. In this way he took over Sarasaland. Now, he wants to marry Princess Daisy of Sarasaland and make her his queen. Mario came to know of these events, and he has started on a journey to the Chai Kingdom where Princess Daisy is held captive, in order to restore peace to Sarasaland. Espagnol Super Mario Land, la primera aparición del fontanero en Game Boy, es un juego de plataformas de desplazamiento lateral muy en la línea del anterior Super Mario Bros. Esta vez, Mario debe salvar a la Princesa Daisy en lugar de a la Princesa Toadstool, de su secuestrador Tatanga, un misterioso astronauta.

El juego sigue en gran medida la misma fórmula de su antecesor, con Mario derrotando a los enemigos al saltar sobre ellos y recolectando monedas y potenciadores al golpear bloques flotantes, donde cada mundo conduce a una pelea contra un jefe final. Una característica única de esta entrega son los dos niveles de desplazamiento continuo, en el primero de los cuales Mario guía un submarino y el segundo un avión.

Ora vuole sposare la principessa Daisy di Sarasaland e farne la sua regina. Mario è venuto a conoscenza di questi eventi e ha iniziato un viaggio nel Regno di Chai, dove è tenuta prigioniera la principessa Daisy, per riportare la pace nel Sarasaland.
