Anglais The sequel to OutRun features similar basic gameplay to the original, with the action viewed from behind the car, and the challenge being to complete each stage within the time limit. Contact can cause the car to spin, slow down or even flip; in each case you will lose time. There are branching routes and a raft of new features: changed weather conditions, night racing, obstacles on the tracks, optional automatic gears, annoying police cars. There are 16 stages set across the US, gradually moving from east to west, all depicted differently visually. After every 4 levels, you go into a shop screen, with a choice of upgrades. As the title implies, you now have a turbo booster installed, which speeds up the car, although over-use can cause the engine to overheat, and it is not recharged until each shop section. You have 5 continues, and failure to complete the course within the time limit costs you one.

Espagnol La secuela de OutRun presenta una jugabilidad básica similar a la del original, con la acción vista desde detrás del coche, y el reto de completar cada etapa dentro del límite de tiempo. El contacto puede hacer que el coche gire, reduzca la velocidad o incluso vuelque; en cada caso perderás tiempo. Hay rutas ramificadas y un montón de nuevas características: cambio de las condiciones meteorológicas, carreras nocturnas, obstáculos en las pistas, marchas automáticas opcionales e incluso coches de policía. Hay 16 escenarios a lo largo y ancho de EE.UU., que se desplazan gradualmente de este a oeste, todos ellos representados visualmente de forma diferente. Después de cada 4 niveles, entras en una pantalla de tienda, con una selección de mejoras. Como el título indica, ahora tienes instalado un turbo, que acelera el coche, aunque el uso excesivo puede hacer que el motor se sobrecaliente, y no se recarga hasta la siguiente sección de la tienda. Tienes 5 continues, y no completar el recorrido dentro del tiempo límite te cuesta uno.
