Anglais The Game Boy Color version of Stars 2001 is very loosely based on the PC/Playstation game with the same name. Much of what made the original special is gone. For example, the whole concept of Star Points, which was such an important part of the console game has been removed. Left is a football game with a quite ordinary style. Due to the Premier League license all twenty teams are real and have real world players (16 in each team). The gameplay resembles the style of many classic games in the genre and is viewed from an top down perspective. Play modes available are friendly match, full season or a custom league of the players' choice.
Espagnol La versión de Game Boy Color de Stars 2001 se basa muy libremente en el juego de PC/Playstation con el mismo nombre. Gran parte de lo que hizo que el especial original se haya ido. Por ejemplo, se eliminó todo el concepto de Star Points, que era una parte tan importante del juego de consola. Left es un juego de fútbol con un estilo bastante ordinario. Debido a la licencia de la Premier League, los veinte equipos son reales y tienen jugadores del mundo real (16 en cada equipo). El modo de juego se asemeja al estilo de muchos juegos clásicos del género y se ve desde una perspectiva de arriba hacia abajo.
