Allemand In der Handheld-Version von Marvel Ultimate Alliance übernimmt der Spieler, wie in den Konsolenversionen, die Kontrolle über eine Auswahl von Marvel-Superhelden und kämpft sich durch Orte und Feinde aus dem Marvel-Universum. Auswählbare spielbare Charaktere sind: Spider-Man, Blade, Elektra, Thor, Wolverine, Captain America, Deadpool und Iceman. Ms. Marvel und Thing sind ebenfalls als freischaltbare Charaktere verfügbar.

Das Spiel spielt sich ähnlich wie Final Fight, bei dem der Spieler von links nach rechts läuft, sich auf der Z-Achse bewegen kann und Welle um Welle von Gegnern, darunter auch gelegentliche Endgegner, schlägt und tritt.

Das Spiel verfügt jedoch über einige einzigartige Elemente, die den Grundlagen des Genres hinzugefügt wurden. Eine Anzeige steuert den Einsatz von Superkräften, die mit zunehmender Erfahrung verbessert werden können. Die Spieler haben auch die Möglichkeit, verschiedene Marvel-Helden zu beschwören, die sie schnell unterstützen können. Es gibt viele Gegenstände zu finden, sowohl Quest-Gegenstände wie Schlüssel zum Aufschließen von Türen und Waffen als auch Ausrüstungsgegenstände wie Waffen und Rüstungen, um die Fähigkeiten der Charaktere zu verbessern.

Anglais The handheld version of Marvel Ultimate Alliance, like its console counterparts, has the player taking control over one of a selection of Marvel super-heroes and battling through locations and enemies from the Marvel universe. Selectable playable characters are: Spider-Man, Blade, Elektra, Thor, Wolverine, Captain America, Deadpool and Iceman. Ms. Marvel and Thing as also available as unlockable characters.

The game plays out something like Final Fight, where the player walks from left to right with the ability to move on the z-axis and punch and kick wave after wave of enemies including the occasional boss.

It has some unique elements added to the genre basics, however. A meter controls the use of super powers, which can be upgraded as experience is gained. Players also have the ability to summon various Marvel heroes for quick support roles. There are many items to find, both quest items, such as keys to unlock doors and weapons and equipment, like weapons and armor, to buff up the characters' abilties.
