Anglais Virtua Striker 4 got a makeover in 2006 with an updated player roster and more interaction with the VS.net system. This update improved the overall balance of the game.

To make the game more realistic, when a player dribbles or runs, their stamina gauge begins to deplete. When the player stops or at halftime, the stamina gauge recharges. The yellow/red card system is also used and can exclude a team member for the entire match.

Français Virtua Striker 4 fait peau neuve en 2006 avec une liste mise à jour des joueurs et permet davantage d'interaction avec le système VS.net. Cette mise à jour améliore l'équilibre général du jeu.

Pour se rapprocher de la réalité, lorsque un joueur dribble ou court, sa jauge d'endurance commence à se vider. Lorsque le joueur s'arrête ou à la mi-temps, la jauge d'endurance se recharge. Le système de cartons jaunes/rouges est également utilisé et peut exclure un membre de l'équipe pour toute la durée du match.
