Allemand Robotech: Crystal Dreams ist ein 3D Flugsimulator Spiel, welches jedoch nie auf den Markt kam. Entwickelt wurde das sehr ambitionierte Projekt von GameTek. Ursprünglich sollte das Spiel bereits zum Release der N64 erscheinen, doch meldete GameTek nach 2 Jahren Entwicklungszeit im Jahr 1997 Bankrott an. GameTek versuchte weiterhin einen Publisher für die Fertigstellung des Spieles zu finden, jedoch wurde aufgrund ausbleibendem Interesses 1998 die Entwicklung endgültig eingestellt, wenige Tage nachdem die offizielle Demo auf der E3 1998 gezeigt wurde.

Anglais Robotech: Crystal Dreams is a canceled Robotech video game, developed by GameTek. It takes place between the first and second story arcs of the animated series. It follows the adventures of Kyle Bartley, a disgraced Robotech Defense Force veritech mecha pilot turned mercenary who fights to protect the Earth and the SDF-3 from new Zentraedi enemies. It is primarily a space fighter simulation game with some resource management elements. The protagonist works as a mercenary and obtains credits based on the type of missions completed. Between levels, the player returns to the base to interact with a variety of characters, buy upgrades, and modify his mecha. The player gets wartime reports of events through space, and can rush to the aid of those that need his help the most and receive more credits for it. The mecha can be transformed into three different forms: "Fighter mode", "Guardian mode", and "Battloid mode"

Tra i livelli, il giocatore sarebbe tornato alla base e sarebbe stato in grado di interagire con una varietà di altri personaggi, acquistare potenziamenti e modificare il proprio mecha. Il gioco aveva anche una sequenza temporale di guerra continua in cui il giocatore poteva ricevere rapporti su ciò che stava accadendo in varie località dello spazio e poteva correre ad aiutare coloro che avevano più bisogno del loro aiuto e ottenere più credito per averlo fatto. Il mecha può essere trasformato in tre diverse forme: "Modalità Combattente", "Modalità Guardiano" e "Modalità Battaglia".

A Crystal Dreams era basicamente um jogo de simulação de caça espacial com alguns elementos de gerenciamento de recursos. O principal protagonista trabalhou como mercenário e conseguiu obter diferentes números de créditos com base no tipo de missões cumpridas. Entre os níveis, o jogador retornaria à base e seria capaz de interagir com uma variedade de outros personagens, comprar atualizações e modificar seu mecha. O jogo também tinha uma linha de tempo de guerra contínua onde o jogador podia obter relatórios do que estava acontecendo em vários locais do espaço, e poderia correr para ajudar aqueles que mais precisavam de sua ajuda e receber mais créditos por isso. O mecha pode ser transformado em três formas diferentes: "modo Fighter", "modo Guardian" e "modo Battloid".
