Anglais Link's latest challenge is set on the mysterious Koholint, a place where dreams and reality collide. As a castaway, Link must find a way to escape from the island and return to his beloved homeland of Hyrule. This will not be an easy task.rnrnThe island's inhabitants have no knowledge of the outside world. One creature, a talking owl, may know the solution to Link's dilemma. Link must first tackle eight dungeons full of treacherous monsters and tricky traps. His goal: find the eight instruments of the Sirens and awaken the omnipotent Wind Fish which rules the island.

Espagnol Tras salvar Hyrule, Link se va en busca de aventuras. Mientras viajaba a bordo de su barca le sorprende una gran tormenta. Cuando despierta se encuentra en la casa de Marin en la misteriosa isla de Koholin. Tras recuperar su escudo se dirigió a la playa donde fue encontrado en busca de su espada. Tras ello aparece un búho y le dice que para poder salir de la isla deberá de despertar al Pez Viento, para lo cual deberá de recuperar los instrumentos de las sirenas y usarlos frente al gran huevo que se encuentra en lo alto de una montaña. Mientras recorre la isla irá descubriendo los secretos de ésta.
En esta edición se introdujeron nuevos elementos, como el álbum de fotos, las cuales podían ser imprimidas usando la Game Boy Printer, y una nueva mazmorra, a la cual solo se puede acceder en Game Boy Color.

Français The Legend of Zelda : Link's Awakening DX est un jeu d'action et d'aventure sur Gameboy. Vous incarnez le jeune Link, qui revient dans son pays natal d'Hyrule. Après d'extraordinaires aventures, notre héros rêve d'un repos mérité. Alors qu'il est sur le bateau qui le ramène au pays, une tempête se déchaîne, le bateau est abîmé et s'échoue sur une île mystérieuse nommée Cocolint. Vous apprenez alors que pour sortir de cet enfer, il vous faudra réveiller le mystique Poisson Rêve.

Portugais O novo desafio de Link se passa na misteriosa Koholint, um lugar onde sonhos e realidade se encontram. Como um náufrago, Link precisa encontrar uma maneira de escapar da ilha e retornar à sua amada terra natal, Hyrule. Essa não será uma tarefa fácil.
Os habitantes da ilha não têm conhecimento do mundo exterior. Uma criatura (uma coruja falante), pode conhecer a solução para o dilema de Link. Antes disso, Link deve enfrentar oito masmorras cheias de monstros traiçoeiros e armadilhas perigosas. Seu objetivo é encontrar os oito instrumentos das Sereias e despertar o onipotente Peixe dos Ventos que governa a ilha.
