Aus diversen populären Figuren kannst du anschließend dein Team zusammenstellen, bevor du in einem der zahlreichen Modi des Spiels dein fußballerisches Können demonstrierst. In Mario Strikers Charged Football hast du nahezu unbegrenzte Möglichkeiten, Tore zu erzielen.Den Mannschaftskapitänen stehen individuelle Fähigkeiten zur Verfügung und sie können Spezialschüsse - so genannte Megaschüsse - anwenden, bei denen sich der Ball zum Beispiel in sechs Teile spaltet und aufs Tor fliegt. Der verteidigende Spieler muss dann die Wii Remote einsetzen, um auf die einzelnen Bälle zu zielen und sie abzuwehren. Zusätzlich kannst du den Ball mit Energie aufladen, so dass die Wahrscheinlichkeit steigt, dass er das Tor trifft.Jedes Stadion in Mario Strikers Charged Football weist verschiedene Charakteristika und Vorrichtungen auf, die du nutzen musst, um dich auf dem Rasen durchzusetzen.Mario Strikers Charged Football bietet nicht nur einen actiongeladenen Einzelspieler-Modus sondern unterstützt auch Vier-Spieler-Matches über die Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
