Allemand Die Namensgeberin für dieses schaurig-schönen Computer-Rollenspiel ist Elvira. Diese ist aus diversen Horror-Trash-Komödien bekannt.
Elviras Onkel namens Elmo, der zu Lebzeiten ein sehr unbeliebter Mensch war, ist kürzlich verstorben und hat Elvire ein altes Schloss vererbt. Darüber ist Elvira sehr erfreut, denn sie möchte aus dem Schloss eine Touristenattraktion machen.
An Halloween erwachen aber leider die Toten in der Burg. Und zu allem Übel will auch Elviras vor 100 Jahren verstorbene Ururgroßmutter Emelda wieder ins Reich der Lebenden zurückkehren, um die Weltherrschaft an sich zu reißen.
Um das zu verhindern, engagiert Elvira einen Geisterjäger, dessen Rolle vom Spieler übernommen wird.

Pour empêcher cela, Elvira engage un chasseur de fantômes, ce dernier sera incarné par le joueur. Le héros doit résoudre des puzzles et combattre diverses créatures. Les affrontements se déroulent en temps réel et vous devez être précis pour ne pas mourir. Le château recèle aussi mille dangers qui peuvent vous être fatals.

Lo zio di Elvira, Elmo, che in vita era una persona molto impopolare, è morto da poco e ha lasciato a Elvira un vecchio castello. Elvira è molto contenta di questo, perché vuole trasformarlo in un'attrazione turistica.
Purtroppo, ad Halloween, i morti si risvegliano nel castello. Come se non bastasse, anche la trisnonna di Elvira, Emelda, morta 100 anni fa, vuole tornare nel regno dei vivi per conquistare il mondo.
Per evitare che ciò accada, Elvira assume un cacciatore di fantasmi, che sarà interpretato dal giocatore. L'eroe deve risolvere enigmi e combattere varie creature. Le battaglie si svolgono in tempo reale e bisogna essere precisi per non morire. Il castello è anche pieno di pericoli che possono essere fatali.
